WV Book Faire...
at Olde Towne Martinsburg

The West Virginia Book Faire at Olde Town Martinsburg will be held Friday and Saturday, November 2-3, 2007 in Martinsburg, West Virginia

What's a Book Faire?

This growing event is in its third year and will be a gathering of readers, authors and aspiring writers.  You will have a chance to meet some of your favorite authors and acquire new ones while joining in discussion groups, participate in workshops, meeting the authors and having books signed.

The WV Book Faire will have many other special activities including contests, a community BIG READ! event, coffee cafe', food and childrens programs.  Of course, you'll also be able to enjoy the wonderful shopping of historic, Martinsburg.

The Olde Towne Trolley Loop

Covering the distance between our guest authors, workshops and events should be an easy stroll for anyone without health problems but if you prefer to roll rather than stroll there will be a free shuttle for anyone who would like to travel by Olde Towne Trolley, which will come by about every 15 minutes between the event headquarters at the Shenandoah Ballroom and the special events at the Blue Ridge Community and Technical College.

For The Book Lover

Readers can talk to authors in numerous categories including but not limited to, Fiction, Non-Fiction, West Virginia, Political, Sports and a special Children's book section.  A highlight and culmination of the event will be the Author's Literacy Benefit Dinner to be held on Saturday night.  At each table will be the authors, our guests of honor, with whom you will dine and together enjoy the evening’s keynote speaker all while raising money for literacy programs in West Virginia!
